Curecanti National Recreation Area surrounds Blue Mesa Reservoir, Colorado's largest body of water. The lake is the largest Kokanee Salmon fishery in the U.S. Activities include fishing, boating, hiking, bird-watching, to name a few.

Built in 1956 and expanded in 1998, the museum offers one of the most complete collections of the Ute people.
